Sodium alginate

As a hydrophilic colloid, sodium alginate is easily soluble in water to form a viscous solution. Alginate is a natural polysaccharide found in kelp, giant algae and other brown algae. It is a natural products of alginate in algae and minerals in sea water. It’s a non-toxic food which has been included in the United States Pharmacopoeis as early as 1938. It can be used as thickener, stabilizer, adhesive and molding agent of food and beverages, printing pasta oil field assistant and so on.
